Please read these terms before submitting your booking request.
All dates, times, and deadlines are in Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9). All prices are in Japanese yen (JPY).
1. Service Scope & Legal Status
Our service is strictly limited to providing local tour guides/interpreters. We do not operate as a licensed travel agency under the Japan Travel Agency Act, and we do not arrange, book, or sell transportation or accommodation.
2. Tour Fees & Duration
- The standard tour fee is JPY 18,000 per booking, including tax, for a four-hour tour.
- The fee is charged per booking, not per person. There is no additional charge based on group size and no fixed maximum number of participants.
- Additional time is charged at JPY 4,000 per hour, in one-hour increments, regardless of group size.
- Customized tours follow the same pricing.
- Please provide the total number of participants when submitting your booking request.
- Special care for infants and toddlers is not provided.
The tour fee covers the guiding service and all of the guide’s expenses (transportation, admission fees, and meals).
Guests are responsible for paying their own expenses directly as they occur during the tour (Pay-As-You-Go). This includes, but is not limited to:
- Public transportation tickets (train, subway, bus)
- Admission and entrance fees to museums, temples, or attractions
- Meals, drinks, and snacks for the guest

- Guest’s personal expenses (public transportation fares, entrance fees, meals, and snacks)
- Travel insurance
3. Booking Requests & Tour Arrangements
Booking requests are accepted from one year before the tour date until four calendar days before the tour date, subject to the guide’s availability.
Please select your preferred date and provide your preferred start time, duration, group size, and meeting place. For a customized tour, please also describe the places you would like to visit.
You may request a start time of 8:00 a.m. or later. The final start time, meeting place, and itinerary will be agreed upon with your guide.
Submitting the booking form does not confirm your reservation.
4. Advance Payment & Booking Confirmation
An advance payment of JPY 5,000 per booking is required. This is part of the total tour fee, not an additional charge.
After reviewing your request and confirming availability, your guide will send an email containing a Stripe payment link within 24 hours of receiving your booking request.
Your tour slot is provisionally held from the time the payment-link email is sent. Your booking becomes confirmed once receipt of your advance payment has been verified.
The advance payment must be completed by whichever of the following comes first:
- 72 hours after the payment-link email is sent; or
- 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time.
For bookings made close to the tour date, the payment period may therefore be shorter than 72 hours.
If payment is not received by the deadline, the provisional reservation will be cancelled.
Payment reminders are not sent. Please check your inbox and spam folder for the payment-link email.
5. Remaining Balance
The remaining balance must be paid at the meeting place before the tour begins.
For a standard four-hour tour costing JPY 18,000, the remaining balance after the JPY 5,000 advance payment is JPY 13,000.
Payment can be made in Japanese yen cash or by card through Stripe. Your guide will provide a payment link or QR code for card payment.
Any agreed additional tour time will be charged at the rate stated in Section 2.
6. Cancellation by Guests
To cancel your booking, please email arden3735@gmail.com.
The cancellation time is the time your cancellation message is received at this email address, not the time the guide reads it.
For bookings that have not been rescheduled, the following cancellation policy applies:

These refund amounts assume that the JPY 5,000 advance payment has been received and the remaining balance has not yet been paid.
The unpaid remaining balance will not be charged when you cancel.
Different conditions apply to cancellations after a confirmed date change, as explained below.
7. Changes to the Tour Date
After the JPY 5,000 advance payment has been received, you may request a change of tour date at no additional charge, subject to the guide’s availability.

If the requested new date is unavailable and the change cannot be accommodated, the standard cancellation policy applies to the original booking.
Once a date change has been agreed and confirmed, any subsequent cancellation by the guest will incur a JPY 5,000 cancellation fee, regardless of how far in advance the cancellation is made. In this case, the advance payment will not be refunded, and the unpaid remaining balance will not be charged.
The full-refund policy for cancellations due to the guide’s own circumstances, typhoons, or heavy rain described in Section 8 takes precedence, including for rescheduled bookings.
8. Weather, Tour Cancellation & Alterations
Tours normally operate in ordinary rain.
We reserve the right to cancel or alter the tour due to extreme weather, natural disasters, transportation disruptions, or other uncontrollable events (Force Majeure) to ensure participant safety.
If the tour is cancelled because of a typhoon, heavy rain that makes the tour unsafe, or the guide’s own circumstances, all tour fees already received will be refunded, and no unpaid balance will be charged.
This full-refund policy also applies if the booking has previously been rescheduled.
9. Refunds
Payments received through Stripe will be refunded to the original card used for payment.
We will initiate the refund within three business days after the refund decision and notify you by email once the refund has been submitted.
The time it takes for the refund to appear on your account depends on your card issuer. The three-business-day period refers to our processing of the refund, not the date it appears on your statement.
We will not deduct the original payment processing fee from the refund amount due under this policy.
10. Meeting Place & Tour-Day Information
You may request a meeting place anywhere within Tokyo. The exact meeting point will be agreed upon with your guide.
The tour duration includes travel from the meeting place to the first destination. Time is counted from the agreed meeting time to the end of the tour.
The itinerary and meeting instructions, including relevant maps, station exits, or landmarks, will be provided with the payment-link email.
WhatsApp will be used for contact on the day of the tour. Your guide will provide the contact details before the tour.
11. Personal Property & Damage
Participants are solely responsible for their personal belongings. We are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items (e.g., cameras, smartphones, clothing) during the tour.
12. Liability & Travel Insurance
Participants join the tour at their own risk. Unless caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we assume no liability for accidents, injuries, or illnesses during the tour. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to their trip.
